"At OMWA, I have worked alongside
some of the most dedicated professionals in the drinking water industry”, said
Ed, in accepting the position, "Now I look forward to leading the OMWA in
promoting the industry and in working with our provincial colleagues to ensure
that we are all serving Ontarians to the best of our ability.”
In addition to his duties at
Collingwood Utility Services, Ed is the Executive Director of the Town of Collingwood. He also
served as CEO of the Zenon/Collingwood International Training Centre from
2000-2008. Ed
is the 2005 recipient of the George Warren Fuller Award, presented to him by
the Ontario Waterworks Association in recognition of his
distinguished service to the water supply field.
In addition to his substantial
contribution to the drinking water sector in Ontario,
Ed has been actively engaged in Ontario’s
electricity sector. He has served on the boards of the Independent Electricity
Market Operator, and the Electrical Distributors Association. In 2002, Ed received the Presidential
Citation from the Electricity Distributors Association in recognition of his
outstanding contribution to Ontario’s
Electricity Industry.
Ed is also active in his community, from hosting local
TV shows, to acting as master of ceremonies at important community events. For
his tireless contribution to Collingwood, Ed received the Order of Collingwood
in 1999 and the Citizen of the Year Award from the Collingwood & District
Chamber of Commerce in 2002.
